How the Warranty Works
The warranty is provided by The Fuel Cap Company (hereinafter FCC) and does not affect the statutory rights of the purchaser.
FCC undertakes that your new Cap (hereinafter Fuel or AdBlue Cap) will be free from defect in material or workmanship according to the state of the art under normal use and service for its intended use and for an unlimited time period. The warranty starts from the date the Cap is delivered to the shipping address given by the purchaser at the point of order.
The warranty is valid for the original purchaser only. Should you sell the vehicle it has been fitted to, the warranty will terminate at the date/point of that sale.
FCC will be replace or repair the cap at our discretion and return it to the address entered at the point of purchase. Or, refund in full the original purchase price. If you have moved, we will return the cap to this new address providing that all the security checks are passed.
FCC will return the cap within a reasonable time at no cost to you. You will be responsible for the initial cost of return.
Your Packing Slip is your Proof of Purchase
A copy of the original packing slip will be required as proof of purchase. Although we do not expect you will need to return the cap, making a copy of your packing slip and keeping it safe is always a good idea.
Locking caps will require both keys in the unlikely event you need to return the item.
Exceptions (Caps NOT covered by the Warranty)
Caps returned where there has been clear misuse or damage caused by attempted theft or being dropped, broken or damaged through the incorrect use or fitment of the cap.
This extended warranty does not apply to items supplied by FCC to resellers or commercial / fleet or International customers.
Due to the nature of Custom made caps, we are not able to offer our Lifetime Warranty to these products.
Our lifetime warranty does not cover caps delivered to non UK postcodes.

I've Ordered the Wrong Fuel Cap
In the unlikely event that you have experienced a problem with your purchase, we have an open approach to returning item/items, the exceptions to this are item/items ordered in special or made to your specification & second user items. Some returns can incurr an admin charge. Please read our 'The Fuel Cap is No Longer Required or was Ordered in Error' section below before requesting a return.
Please complete the Return Authorisation form above, by entering your Order Reference (FCC code) found on your order form, to gain an authorisation reference. We have implemented this to speed up the returns process.
Items undelivered or uncollected from our Courier, which are then returned to The Fuel Cap Company, will be subject to an administration charge. All items dispatched by The Fuel Cap Company are tracked. The tracking code will be emailed to you on day of postage.
Please note that The Fuel Cap Company cannot be held responsible for delays by the Royal Mail or any of its partner couriers.
The Cap I Received is Faulty/Damaged
If returning a faulty or damaged product we will offer you an exchange / refund or repair depending on the length of time you have had the product.
We will re-reimburse your postage paid, up to a maximum of the original postage paid by us. For example, if we sent an item by Royal Mail Recorded Delivery we will only pay up to this service, so if you choose to send back by Special Delivery, you will only receive the Standard Recorded Delivery value refund.
Custom Made/Special Order Fuel Caps
Any Custom Made or Special Order Fuel Caps are exempt from the 14-day ‘cooling-off period' contained in Distance Selling Regulations. Items ordered in special or made to your specification are non returnable, but are still covered by the manufactures guarantee against manufacturing defect. Custom made items would have been signed off before manufacture and a sample sent and approved before the final order made.
The Fuel Cap is No Longer Required or was Ordered in Error
Under the Distance Selling Regulations you are entitled to a 14-day ‘cooling-off period’ when you buy something online.
You need to tell us within 14 days of receiving your order that you no longer require the item(s). Once you’ve told us, you have a further 14 days to actually send the item back. Please make sure you have a Returns Code (see above) before sending the item(s) back.
You are responsible for the cost of posting your unwanted item(s) back to us. We will deduct the cost that we incur in this process, this will cover postage and packing plus an administration charge. You need to make sure it’s packaged in a way that means it doesn’t get damaged. Any damage caused during the return process, will be deducted from the refund due.
We would recommend you get a Certificate of Posting from the Royal Mail when returning the item(s). If you are returning a locking cap, please make sure both keys are returned with the cap. We reserve the right to withhold your refund until the item and keys are returned.
If you are any doubt about the item you are about to purchase please ask first as we will not be held responsible for mistakes that are out of our control, E.g. if you purchase a locking cap for a vehicle that has a lockable flap that you were not aware of and return the item, we will deduct any associated cost. Or, if you have a Fiesta MK6 fitted with an Easy-Fill system and purchase a Fiesta MK5 thinking it will fit, again we will deduct our costs in relation to this charge. These terms are within our stated terms and conditions, so if in doubt please DON’T purchase before you have spoken to us. We are hear to help.
Our items DO NOT say free Postage, our final price includes the cost of postage and administration charges related to this, and we do not show this on the packing slip, the packing slip is just that, if you require an itemised invoice showing the postage please ask by emailing email@example.com
The Fuel Caps we Supply
Our fuel caps are a Direct Replacement for the original OEM where fitted. If your vehicle's neck has been modified in any way, to accept a misfuelling device, has been damaged, or changed dramatically please DO NOT order an OEM replacement as it will not fit. Any items returned will be subject to an administration charge.
